Answer Key Status
- The provisional answer key and response details were released in the first half of October 2026, with the objection window running up to 13 October 2026.
- After reviewing objections, reports say the final answer key has also been released.
- Answer keys are shared shift-wise, so check the one that matches your exam date and shift.
Always rely on the official HPRCA website for the latest status, as third-party pages can lag behind.
How to Download the Answer Key and Response Sheet
- Visit hprca.hp.gov.in.
- Open the latest notices or the answer key section for JOA (IT), Post Code 26001.
- Click the answer key or response sheet link.
- Log in with your Application ID / Registration Number and password.
- Download and save the PDF for your shift.
Keep a copy until the whole selection process is over.
How to Estimate Your Score
- Match your responses with the final answer key.
- Count correct answers and multiply by the marks per question.
- Subtract negative marking, if any, as mentioned in the official exam scheme.
Probable score = marks for correct answers minus marks deducted for wrong answers.
Treat this as an estimate only. Final marks, normalisation (if applied) and the cut-off are decided by HPRCA.
Shift-wise Analysis (28, 29, 30 September and 1 October)
Exam difficulty can differ between shifts, so compare your attempts with candidates from the same shift. When you check your key, note:
- Total questions attempted and how many were correct
- Your strongest sections, such as computer knowledge, general knowledge and Himachal GK
- Questions with disputed answers in the objection list
Previous Year Papers
Solving previous papers helps you understand the exam pattern and question level.
- Check the official HPRCA website first for answer keys and notices of earlier exams.
- HPRCA has also held earlier JOA exams (for example, the JOA Library exam on 25 April 2026, with its final answer key released on 29 May 2026), which are useful for practice.
- Use only trusted sources for practice papers, and avoid sites that ask for payment or personal details.
