The online registration for IBPS RRB XV Recruitment 2026 started on 1 September 2026.

Educational Qualification for Officer Scale-II Specialist Posts

The qualification and experience depend on the specialist post.

For example, IT Officer requires a relevant degree in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent with the prescribed marks and relevant experience.

CA candidates require the prescribed ICAI qualification and relevant experience.

Law Officer requires a Law degree with the prescribed marks and relevant legal experience.

Treasury Manager requires CA or MBA in Finance, while Marketing Officer requires MBA in Marketing.

Agricultural Officer requires the prescribed Agriculture or allied degree with the required marks and relevant experience. 

Educational Qualification for Officer Scale-III

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with the prescribed minimum marks.

Candidates also need the required experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution, generally at least 5 years. 


IBPS RRB Age Limit 2026

The age limit is calculated as on 1 September 2026.

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the age should be between 18 and 28 years.

For Officer Scale-I, candidates must be above 18 years and below 30 years.

For Officer Scale-II, candidates must be above 21 years and below 32 years.

For Officer Scale-III, candidates must be above 21 years and below 40 years. 

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation is available to eligible reserved categories as per Government rules.

Negative Marking in IBPS RRB Exam

There is a penalty for wrong answers in the objective examinations.
